Jabhat Al-Nusra terrorists, the “White Helmets”, preparing for staging a chemical attack in Syria’s Idlib to accuse the Syrian Army: Russian Defense Ministry

Terrorists of Jabhat Al-Nusra positioned in the de-escalation zone in Syria’s Idlib, in cooperation with the “White Helmets” terror group, are planing to fabricate  a chemical attack in this province,  Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, Deputy Head of the Russian Coordination Center in Syria, said on Friday.

In a statement, Kulit said that the Russian Coordination Center received information about the preparation of a provocation by Jabhat Al-Nusra terrorists in the Idlib de-escalation zone using toxic substances.

The terrorists, accompanied by representatives of the White Helmets, delivered about 10 barrels of toxic substances by truck to an area near the village of Harim, Kulit added, citing information received from locals.

“According to available information, the terrorists intend to stage a chemical attack in the southern part of the Jabal Al-Zawiya and plan to accuse the Syrian government forces of using toxic substances against civilians,” Kulit said.

This is not the first time the Russian center provides information about plans by terrorists and the White Helmets operating in Syria to stage a chemical attack in Idlib in order to accuse the Syrian army of attacking civilians with chemical weapons.

Last month, Kulit revealed that the center also received information about preparations by terrorists of Jabhat Al-Nusra group for provocations in the Idlib de-escalation zone using poisonous substances. At the time, sources said that the terrorists delivered a tanker truck with a poisonous substance to the village of Atma in Idlib, with which they plan to fill rockets.

A source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on June 22nd that the terrorist organizations and the “White Helmets” never stopped planning fabricated chemical attacks in some areas in Idlib and Hama to accuse the Syrian army, stressing that what the terrorist groups have been doing is being directed and supported by the United States, some Western countries and the Turkish intelligence services.
