Zaghrin village in Lattakia witnesses remarkable tourism

Lattakia  is a world-famous tourist attraction. It has a rich and diverse nature as well as many different attractive destinations  where nature lovers have lots to see and do. 

With rising temperatures and the start of the tourism season, Lattakia governorate is witnessing an active movement and a large turnout from the people of  various governorates, especially the popular summer resorts  distributed  along the beaches, in the forests and in the mountainous areas, seeking rest and recreation away from the hustle and bustle of cities and work pressures. 

The village of Zaghrin,  which is characterized by its  aesthetic and touristic elements , is one of the popular resorts that has gained wide popularity over the years and has become a destination for many residents of the region, vacationers and tourist groups for its calm beauty and charming nature.

The fresh water of the river there bears  the name of the village  in harmony with the bright green color of juniper trees And the perennial plane, intertwined with the branches that shade it, and climbing plants like ivy that cover its trunks to give it a special splendor that radiates freshness. 

Dozens of popular parks are spread across the river, which are characterized by simplicity, serenity ,a comfortable atmosphere, and good services provided by  the people of the region, who reflect their  warm hospitality and the kindness of the people of the countryside. 

During a visit to the popular parks in the village, which are  located on the international road leading to Kassab, Qa’ed  Ali, a resident of the area, spoke to SANA  about the uniqueness  of the village of Zaghrin , which is 27 km from Lattakia city, indicating  that it is in the middle of the villages of Wadi Qandil, Blauran and Sarskaya. 

He made it clear that the village consists of two parts: the old village which  is surrounded by a group of hills and contains many stone houses, while the modern part includes many simple country houses and each one is surrounded by a small home garden planted with various types of vegetables and fruit trees. 

Ali  added  that many of the residents of the area work in agriculture, especially tobacco and sweet potatoes, with some recently turning to popular tourism and establishing small tourism projects such as parks and restaurants. 

Eighty-year old  Suleiman Droubi  highlighted  the noble social values that the people of the village are still keen on preserving including  love, social solidarity and hospitality, recalling how the people of the village worked together to harvest agricultural crops such as wheat, barley, cotton and tobacco and they gather in the weddings, which were usually attended by all the residents of the village and neighboring villages.  Basil Badawi  from Aleppo governorate, who  came with his family, children and relatives to spend the summer vacation in Lattakia as usual,  expressed the great love  for lattakia  governorate and its people, as it enjoys geographical diversity and great natural richness, where forests, sea, plains and mountains.  He stressed that Zaghrin is  a charming tourist place  pointing to  the beauty and calmness of the place, which brings peace and comfort to the souls and hearts, in addition  to  the kindness  and warm hospitality of the residents of Lattakia.
