ANKARA, (ST)_ The Turkish regime’s authorities arrested 22 suspects as part of a probe into the Fetullah Organization’s infiltration of the Turkish Armed Forces, a security source said .
Simultaneous operations were conducted in 23 provinces after prosecutors in Istanbul province issued arrest warrants for 40 former state employees, said the source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Erdogan’s authorities have launched arrest campaigns that included all public and private sectors. Since 2016, the campaigns have resulted in the arrest of about 80,000 people awaiting trial, including those arbitrarily dismissed or suspended from work in addition to 150,000 government employees, army and police personnel, and others.
