Beirut (ST): Protests renewed in the northern city of Tripoli and a number of Lebanese regions last night due to the deteriorating living conditions. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that a number of protesters carried out a protest stand in the Abu Samra area in Tripoli due to the deteriorating economic and living conditions and the lack of purchasing power, and they blocked the public road with cars, stones and waste containers.
The agency pointed out that the Lebanese army units deployed in the streets of the city of Tripoli set up fixed and mobile barriers, and searched cars and checked identities.
In Minieh, in the Akkar region, north Lebanon, protesters closed the international highway to protest the living conditions.
