Sanctions uncover cheap allegation of some Western countries’ keenness on meeting humanitarian needs in Syria- Foreign Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has affirmed that the statement on the Global coalition to Defeat ISIS  talks about US and Western illusive victories that have never happened and about schemes on defeating ISIS [Its Arabic acronym is DAESH].

It pointed out in a statement issued on Tuesday that all world peoples know that these schemes are misleading ones and contradict  the realities of the US policies on the ground.

In response to the outcomes of the Rome meetings, the ministry said that Syria laments the situation of the foreign ministers of some countries that were forced to attend and agree on the two ready-made statements pre-prepared by the United States and its allies without reading them.

The ministry clarified that those who contributed to the defeat of ISIS were the Syrian army, the Russian forces, the Iraqi army and the fighters against terrorism in the region, not that coalition whose attacks targeted innocent civilians and civilian facilities in both Syria and Iraq.

It stressed that the cheap allegation about the keenness of  some of those countries and regional organizations on meeting the humanitarian needs in Syria has been uncovered by the imposition of unilateral coercive measures by the United States and the European Union that prevent the Syrians from receiving medicine, food and fuel, not to mention the looting of Syrian oil and wheat by the US.
