Palestinian hunger striking captive Abu Atwan enters a coma after his health condition deteriorated severely
The Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli jail Al-Ghadanfar Abu Atwan continued his hunger strike for the 53rd consecutive day against the Israeli occupation’s aggressive and arbitrary practices against the Palestinian captives.
Abu Atwan’s health condition has continuously deteriorated and he entered a coma for the second time, Director of the Office of the Prisoners and Ex-prisoners’ Affairs Authority in Bethlehem told Wafa news agency.
The Israeli occupation detained Abu Atwan, 28, from the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil in October 2020.
5300 Palestinian prisoners are facing very difficult circumstances inside the occupation jails. 550 of these prisoners are sick and they need urgent medical treatment.
