Iran: Instability in Syria caused by Israeli aggressive acts, illegal presence of foreign troops on Syrian land
Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Tacht Ravanchi has renewed his country’s call for respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and for not interfering in the country’s internal affairs.
In a statement during the Security Council meeting on Friday, Tacht Ravanchi condemned the illegal presence of the occupation troops as well as terrorist and separatist groups in parts of Syria.
The Iranian diplomat added that the unstable situation in Syria has been caused by the aggressive acts of the Israeli entity against the country and the illegal presence of some foreign troops as well as terrorists and separatists on Syrian land.” He warned of the repercussions of this situation on the region and the world’s peace and stability.
Tacht Ravanchi stressed the need to solve the crisis in Syria peacefully in accordance with the international law.
