Minister Makhlouf: Humanitarian aid reached more than three million beneficiaries during the month of Ramadan

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, affirmed that, humanitarian aid reached more than three million beneficiaries during the month of Ramadan, distributed over the entire Syrian geography, with a value of more than 35 billion Syrian pounds.

Minister Makhlouf indicated during a press conference held on Wednesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus after his meeting with representatives of charities, humanitarian institutions, and chambers of industry and commerce that, the aid varied between food baskets, cash material assistance, medical support, clothing and other qualitative services for the wounded segments of the Syrian Arab Army, patients, students and people with disabilities in all governorates. In addition there were charitable markets that spread in several regions and served thousands of families.

Minister Makhlouf indicated that the aid distribution was accompanied by logistical facilities by government agencies to complete aid operations in the best possible way.
