Participants in the symposium of the Syrian-French Friendship Association call for lifting the unfair Western siege on Syria
Paris (ST): The participants in the symposium of the Syrian-French Friendship Association stressed the need to hold accountable those involved in the terrorist war on Syria, lift the unjust Western siege on the Syrian people and rebuild what was destroyed by that terrorist war.
In his intervention during the symposium held on the Zoom website, entitled “Syria: Stakes and Lessons from a War without Borders,” Michel Rimbaud, the former French ambassador, writer and political analyst specialized in geopolitics and international relations, called for the reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism in Syria.
Rimbaud demanded that those who were involved in the aggression against Syria and plotted against it be held accountable, and that the media, which falsified the facts to public opinion, be held accountable, pointing out that the war in Syria is between the Syrian state on the one hand and the terrorists supported from abroad on the other hand, in addition to the aggression of some countries against it.
For his part, researcher and journalist Majd Ne’me, editor-in-chief of the online newspaper Africa Asia, stressed the failure of the unjust siege imposed by the United States and France in particular on Syria to achieve its objectives, pointing to the efforts of Western countries to try to overthrow the power of the Syrian state and that those countries were supporting terrorist organizations to this end.
Engineer Bernard Cornu, a strategic expert in international politics, described the unjust sanctions imposed on the Syrian people by the West and regional countries as a crime against humanity, referring to the Turkish role in supporting terrorism in Syria, denouncing the Turkish occupation of Syrian lands and calling for punishing the countries that support terrorism for their actions.
Journalist Faisal Jalloul, a researcher specializing in Arab affairs, confirmed that the goal behind the terrorist war on Syria is to divide it into states to draw a new political geography in the region in order to liquidate the Palestinian cause in service of the Israeli occupation entity pointing to the Turkish regime’s involvement in the Western project through opening the Turkish borders to ISIS and Al-Nusra terrorists and providing them with full support.
