Damascus (ST): A session of official Syrian-Russian talks was held in Damascus, which was co-chaired by Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Yury Borisov, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, on the Russian side.
The two sides discussed expanding areas of joint cooperation, following up on the implementation of signed agreements, completing bilateral cooperation projects, and laying the appropriate groundwork in preparation for the convening of the 13th session of the Syrian-Russian Joint Committee for Trade, Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation and overcoming the difficulties facing joint work and finding solutions to them in the fields of communications, digital technologies, medical products and medicines,.They also spoke about facilitating the arrival of Russian goods to the Syrian market and providing the appropriate environment for establishing development and economic projects that contribute to supporting the Syrian economy.
Borisov stressed his country’s continuation of providing support to Syria in all fields, especially the reconstruction and rehabilitation of infrastructure in the fields of energy and electricity, raising their production capacities and taking all measures that support the Syrian economy.
For his part, Minister Azzam stressed that the Syrian government is working to strengthen and consolidate strategic cooperation with the Russian Federation and exert maximum efforts to implement bilateral agreements and joint vital projects, expand economic cooperation, increase the volume of trade exchange and encourage mutual investment.
