The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for the inclusion of the Israeli occupation on the list of violators of children’s rights

On June 20th, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take decisive measures to provide protection for the Palestinian people, especially children.

The Ministry called to hold  the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes and to include it on the blacklist of groups that commit grave violations of children’s rights.

The Ministry clarified in a statement, reported by WAFA News Agency, that the failure to include the Israeli occupation on the blacklist of perpetrators of grave violations of children’s rights in the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, which will be issued soon, is a bias towards the occupation criminals and ensures their impunity.

The Ministry indicated that the specialized United Nations institutions, including the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” and other international agencies, acknowledged in their reports that “Israel”committed crimes against Palestinian children.

The Ministry called on the Secretary-General not to compromise the principles on which the United Nations was founded, because the martyrdom of hundreds of children, including only 73 children, since the beginning of this year, and the targeting of thousands of schools and health centers in the recent aggression against the Palestinian people constitutes a grave crime that calls for the blacklisting of the Israeli occupation.
