Al-Miqdad receives delegation representing the Islamic Nationalist Conference

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Miqdad  received on Tuesday a delegation representing the Islamic Nationalist Conference, which is composed of heads of national parties and parliamentarians and politicians from several Islamic and Arab states.
 
Al-Miqdad briefed the delegation on the hard conditions Syria has passed through during the 10-year-long terrorist war launched by Western states and their agents, asserting that Syria’s support for issues of the Arab Nation, mainly the Palestinian Cause, is one the most significant reasons that stand behind the conspiracy hatched against it.
 
He in addition talked about the circumstances in the Arab region, referring to the fact that Arab peoples must support  their brothers in Syria and other Arab countries against western economic sanctions that aim at subjugating them to the US and Zionist hegemony.
 
The Minister added that the large participation of the Syrian people in the recent Presidential election inside the country and abroad was an example of the Syrians’ adherence to their choice to defeat all those who tried to intervene in the internal affairs .
 
The members of the delegation expressed their deep solidarity with the Syrian people in overcoming the challenges they have been passing through as a result of the terrorist war against Syria, referring to the resilience shown by Syrians under the leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad.
 
They also reiterated their solidarity with Syria to face all unilateral economic measures being imposed on the country by the US , western and European countries, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
