Putin,Erdogan discuss Syria over the phone

MOSCOW,(ST)-Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Turkish Recep Tayyeb Erdogan on Thursday.

The conversation was initiated by Erdogan according to the written statement released by the Kremlin Media Center.

Both sides exchanged views the regional situation ,especially in Syria, expressing their willingness to coordinate their action in the interests of finding a political solution to the crisis ,according to the World bulletin.

Lavrov ,Davutoğlu discuss Syria in phone conversation, agree to meet

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a phone conversation with his Turkish  counterpart Ahmet Davutoğlu as preparations for the Geneva II conference to find a path to a solution for the crisis in Syria .

Lavrov gave Davutoğlu details on the preliminary meeting between the United States, Russia and the United Nations for the international conference to be held in Geneva.

The two countries’ top diplomats have agreed to meet on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations conference in Brunei next week.

During the phone call,Lavrov  underlined that there is a dire need to hold the Geneva II conference that will help reaching a political settlement to the crisis in Syria.
