Czech Moravian Communist Party: Syria defends its sovereign rights according to international law

Prague (ST): The Executive Committee of the Moravian Czech Communist Party affirmed that Syria is defending its sovereign rights in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

This came in a statement by the committee today, in which it also expressed its concern about the growing tension in international relations, pointing out that many of the international treaties that were agreed upon after the Second World War were canceled.

The head of the Moravian Czech Communist Party, Vojtek Philippe, in an article he published in the newspaper “Hello Novini” considered  the stands issued by some Western countries regarding the presidential elections in Syria as incorrect.

In turn, the Czech representative in the European Parliament, Ivan David, stressed that the West’s policies towards Syria have failed completely, yet they continue to be implemented at the same pace, especially with regard to unilateral coercive measures that directly affect the Syrian people.
