Syria’s basketball team beats Russia’s youth team in preparation for Asian finals

Syria’s basketball team achieved an important victory over Russia’s youth team, 85-77 points, in preparation for the third level of the Asian finals, which will be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on the 12th  of this month.

Our team presented a remarkable and distinguished performance, especially in the last two quarters. On the other hand, the Russian players were distinguished by their height and shooting prowess, especially the “triples”.

The coach of the national team Mikhail Terekhov noted that the players’ performance is good and there is a remarkable development.

When the third level date arrives, we will be highly prepared to meet the Saudi and Qatari national teams. Winning is the goal to reach to the Asian finals that will be held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, he added.
