Various scientific researches in the Fourth International Virtual Scientific Conference on Sustainable Development
Damascus, (ST) – Various scientific researches in the fields of environment, energy, health, medicine, soil and plant sciences, genetics, biotechnology and food were reviewed and discussed by the participants in the fourth hypothetical international scientific conference for sustainable development and the ways of its achievement in the Middle East organized by the Iraqi Environmental and Agricultural Palm Organization in cooperation with several Syrian academic and research bodies.
Researcher Dr. Yanal Al-Qudsi, the Arab and international general coordinator of the conference, affirmed in a statement to SANA that, the three-day conference that concluded last night aimed at opening the door for cooperation to accomplish Arab and international research projects that help advance the agricultural, health, environmental and medical reality, especially during coronavirus. The results of scientific research participation in the conference and competition for this research for Arab and international research will be published later in international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Mageda Mufleh, Director General of the General Authority for Scientific Agricultural Research, pointed out to the importance of the conference in light of the challenges facing the world, especially developing societies.
Dr. Maysoon Dashash, Director of the Medical Education Program at the Syrian Virtual University, indicated that, this participation is the first for the program that was established at the Syrian Virtual University to qualify medical teaching and training staff in Syrian universities.
Dr. Shadi Khatib, head of the Syrian Scientific Society for Medicinal Herbs, Complementary Medicine and Nutrition pointed out the need to coordinate the efforts of Arab researchers in the field of sustainable development.
Dr. Shahrazad Muhammad Al-Shadidi, Head and founder of the Iraqi Environmental and Agricultural Palm Organization, praised the level of Syrian research presented at the conference in order to achieve sustainable development goals, whether in support of agricultural production or energy and environment support. She expressed her hope in holding scientific conferences and similar seminars in Syria during the coming period
The conference was concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants and the announcement of the winning researches in the conference.
