Egyptian parties describe Syrian presidential elections as a “wonderful democratic event”

CAIRO, (ST)_Chairman of Al-Jeel Party [Generation Party] Naji Al-Shehabi and Secretary General of the Arab Popular Front for Unity in Egypt Alaa Abo Zaid have affirmed that the people of Syria foiled enemies’ plots and gave lessons to the world on democracy and national unity.
 
Speaking to the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Cairo, Al-Shehabi said the wide participation of Syrians in presidential elections was an important political and national message to the world.
 
The number of Syrian citizens who gathered at electoral centers in Syria and abroad proved their adherence to their homeland and sovereignty.
 
“All attempts of the enemies to prevent Syrians from voting were unsuccessful ,” he added, pointing out that Syria will start a new stage after the elections.
 
For his part, Abo Zaid described the participation of Syrian citizens in presidential elections after 10 years of US-Zionist war on Syria as a “wonderful democratic event”.
