FARS News Agency Opens Office in Damascus

 DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Mr. Sayyed Nizameddin Mousawi, the Director of Iranian FARS News Agency, opened yesterday an office for the agency in Damascus.

Mr. Mousawi, in a press conference, confirmed that FARS will cover the events in Syria and will stand with the Syrian people against misleading media.

He considered that the decision of the western countries of blocking the Syrian channels as due to their fear of Syrian media.

In his turn Mr. Rafik Lutf, FARS office director in Damascus, confirmed that his agency will sign a cooperation agreement with SANA to exchange news, reports and photos.
