Syrian Arab army advances east of Damascus countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_The northern suburbs of Damascus are still witnessing fierce fighting, as several arms caches of terrorists are reportedly obliterated outside Homs, Aleppo  and Lattakia provinces.

An official source stated today that  units of the armed forces crushed and injured many terrorists in quarters of al-Qabon, Barzeh and Jobar, just 3km north of the capital.

Al-Khamaseyeh- Der Salman road under army’s control

The operations launched in the northern suburbs coincided with  others in the eastern side of Damascus countryside which resulted in imposing control over the road linking al-Khamaseyeh town to Der Salman town in the eastern Ghouta.

This development is crucial because it cuts off supplies for terrorists between the two towns.

A car bomb seized in the capital

Further important achievement ensued when it was reported that the competent authorities confiscated a car bomb laden with 200 kg explosives in Mazzeh suburb in Damascus. 

In the central Homs province, the armed forces liquidated many terrorists in al-Qosor, al-Qarabis, Joret al-Shayyah, and Wadi al-Sayeh quarters in Bab Hod area.

In this context, a military source noted that several snipers were among the dead in the said quarters, adding: “An arms cache containing big quantity of weapons and ammunitions was pounded and terrorists were crushed in towns of Rahom , Em Rjim and al-Sa’en in Homs countryside.”

The same province (Homs)  saw clashes between the armed forces and armed terrorist groups on the routes of Talbeseh-Karaj alDarwish and Bet alNabhan-Bet alRashed as well as in Tal Kalkh countryside which ended in killing and injuring an unknown number of terrorists.

Around 47km to the north of Homs, precisely north-east Hama province, the armed forces targeted terrorists’ hideouts in Jeb al-Henta , Jeb Othman and Rasm al-Dahereyeh towns  and  destroyed their weapons. 

However, in Lattakia province, a unit of the armed forces shelled rockets cache and weapons in a series of qualitative operations  against the hideouts of terrorists in the towns of al-Sekkareyeh and Ketf al-Remman.

In  northern Aleppo province, the death toll of terrorists in today’s operations amounted to more than 23 , according to an official source.

100 Terrorists killed in Aleppo

Last night, it was reported that a car went off as terrorists were booby-trapping it in al-Sakhor quarter in the northern Aleppo province.

“Some 100 terrorists perished at the scene,” an official source told the RT .

Another terrorist attack also took place yesterday when an armed terrorist group hijacked a convoy loading medicine and food items for prisoners in Aleppo central prison.

A judicial committee and volunteers from the Red Crescent were also within the convoy attacked by the terrorists who were seriously wounded during the attack.

2 citizens martyred in Jobar, Harasta

Today  night, the terrorists fired a mortar shell at the entrance of Jobar suburb in Damascus leaving a citizen martyred and massive damage at the scene.

Moreover, another citizen was martyred and two others wounded when the terrorists opened fire on a mini bus in Harasta suburb in the capital. 

Recently, friends of the terrorist groups held a meeting in Doha and vowed to continue arming the terrorist groups in Syria in order to prolong violence to serve Israel’s interests.

The US, Britain, France, Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are the staunch friends and supporters of the terrorist groups .
