Deputy of Gaza’s works and housing ministry Naji Sarhan said at least 2,000 housing units were destroyed and another 15,000 partially destroyed in the 11-day aggression that was launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the besieged Gaza Strip.
He affirmed that Israel had launched hundreds of airstrikes on the overcrowded strip, targeting residential, commercial and government buildings.
“300 industrial facilities and factories were destroyed in the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and 155.000 workers lost their jobs,” the Palestinian economist Ali Al-Haiek said, adding the period of power cut increased to 20 hours a day because the Israeli strikes destroyed 31 transformers and blocked the entry of fuel to feed the only electricity station in Gaza.
The losses in electricity sector in Gaza reached tens of millions of dollars.
While in agricultural sector, the Israeli occupation destroyed 490 agricultural facilities and 8000 beehives.
