Syrian citizens will head to election centers tomorrow to vote in the presidential elections

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Tomorrow at 6:00 am, ballot boxes will be opened in front of the members of the Higher Judicial Committee and Presidential candidates’ agents and media outlets in elections centers to show that the boxes are empty in accordance with the General Elections Law No.5 for the year 2014. 
 
The process of voting will start at 7:00 am[According to Syria Times] in 12,102 election centers in Syrian provinces,  according to member of the Higher Judicial Committee Nouri Fares, 
 
Fares added that the number of Syrian citizens who have the right to vote reached over 18,000,000 inside Syria and abroad, indicating that citizens will cast their vote amid precautionary measure to avoid the outbreak of Covid-19. 
 
On May, 10, 2021, the Higher Constitutional Committee announced the final list of the presidential candidates, which included Abdallah Salloum Abdallah, Bashar Hafez Al-Assad and Mahmoud Ahmad Merei.
