The Lebanese Army: Our priority is to confront the enemy and liberate the occupied lands

Beirut (ST): The Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, has affirmed that the army’s compass will remain directed towards the Israeli enemy and its bloody expansionist plans.

Aoun said in a speech today on the occasion of the Resistance and Liberation Day: “No matter how severe the difficulties are, the army continues to adhere to its right to confront any aggression, defend the borders against the Israeli enemy, and work to stop its violations of our country’s sovereignty and protect our inalienable rights in our national resources, on land and at sea, with the commitment to implement Resolution 1701 and its components.”

He added that the legacy of liberation is a great responsibility and a precious trust that we will not give up on, no matter how long it takes.

He stressed that the army’s priority is confronting the enemy and liberating the occupied lands, pointing out that the Day of Resistance and Liberation will not be completed without regaining what remains of these lands.
