US-backed SDF militia smuggles flocks of sheep from Syria’s Al-Jazira region to the north of Iraq, kidnaps 25 civilians in Deir Ezzor
The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces ((SDF) militia on Saturday smuggled flocks of sheep from areas in the Syrian Al-Jazira region to the northern part of Iraq, according to locals sources.
The sources said that over the past hours, the US-backed SDF militants loaded hundreds of sheep stolen from different parts of Al-Jazira region in special vehicles and brought them out via Al-Walid illegal crossing to areas in the north of Iraq.
The sources pointed out that the militia brought out the sheep in coincidence with the departure of 15 truck, affiliated to the US occupation, carrying stolen Syrian wheat towards the Iraqi territories.
This illegal behavior of the SDF goes in line with the US occupation forces’ acts of stealing the Syrian national wealth.
Over the past years, the SDF militia seized Syria’s internal resources, in addition to the Syrian livestock and strategic agricultural crops, including wheat and barley, in the areas it controls. It has smuggled a large number of sheep to markets in Turkey and Iraq’s northern territories.
Meantime, SDF groups kidnapped 25 civilians in Al-Zer village in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside after storming a number of houses. The militants took the kidnapped to an unknown destination.
On May 11th, a number of SDF militants, protected by the US-occupation helicopters, stormed citizens’ houses in Al-Zer village and kidnapped a number of civilians.

In another development, a civilian was martyred when the SDF militia opened fire at him while he was fishing in the Euphrates river on the outskirts of Al-Basira town in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The crime was committed during the SDF militia’s raids in this area aiming at kidnapping youths to recruit them within its ranks.
In Raqqa, local sources said that the SDF militants stormed several houses in the town of Al-Mansoura in Raqqa southwestern countryside, kidnapped a number of civilians and took them to unknown destination.
Over the past period, the US-backed SDF militia has escalated its kidnapping crimes in the areas under its control in the countryside of Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and Hasakah, with the aim of recruiting the youths within its ranks.
