Breaking into and vandalizing the shops of Syrian citizens in Wadi Khaled, in northern Lebanon

Beirut (ST): Attacks on Syrian citizens were renewed today in Wadi Khaled, in northern Lebanon.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that a group of young men in the border area of Wadi Khaled had broken into and vandalized a number of stores occupied by Syrians in the region because of their participation in the presidential elections and demanded that they close their shops and not attend their work.

According to the agency, a Lebanese army patrol attended and worked to restore calm to the area.

Yesterday, groups of Lebanese attacked Syrian citizens residing in Lebanon as they headed to the Syrian embassy in Beirut to cast their votes in the presidential elections, smashing car windows and blocking roads for citizens.
