Syria condemns Germany’s decision on banning Syrian citizens from voting

DAMASCUS, (ST)_Syria has strongly condemned German government’s decision to ban Syrian citizens in Germany from their constitutional right to participate in the presidential elections.
 
 An Official source the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Thursday that the unjust decision of the German government constitutes a blatant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and a breach of the obligations of the hosting country.  
 
The source added that the decision is a flagrant assault on the rights and freedom of Syrians and a desperate attempt to control their decision to participate in the elections and it uncovers the falsity of democracy of the German government  , and reveals its destructive role in the unjust war on Syria.
