Abdulkarim: Syria to file suit against those who attacked Syrian voters in Lebanon

Syria’s ambassador to Lebanon, Ali AbdulKarim, expressed Syria’s regret that a number of Lebanese people had attacked buses carrying Syrian citizens to the embassy in Beirut to participate in the presidential elections.

In a press conference held on Thursday, Abdul-Karim called on Lebanese competent authorities to pursue and punish those who perpetrated the attack as this distort the image of Lebanon.

“It is regrettable and unjustifiable what has happened by a number of Lebanese people who attacked Syrians who were heading for the Embassy to practice their duty,” ambassador Abdul-Karim said, asserting that Syria will file suit against the attackers.
