Syrian Arab army eliminates several terrorist ringleaders outside the capital

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of the armed forces have tightened their  grip on  eastern Gouta outside Damascus whilst fighting has continued in Aleppo, Daraa, and Idlib provinces.

Today, units of the armed forces advanced in Der salman town in  eastern Ghouta in several directions jostling for al-Khamaseyeh and al-Qaryeh al-shameyeh towns after launching a series of qualitative operations.

According to an official source, the operations resulted in destroying several hideouts and weapons of terrorists and killing a ringleader.

Another ringleader was eliminated in Harasta suburb where three explosive devices weighing25 kg/each were reportedly defused.

On the other hand, the armed forces targeted terrorist groupings and their weapons in Doma, Yabrod, Erbin, al-Dyabeyeh and Darayya suburbs where many terrorists had been liquidated

Concurrently, it was reported that  units of the armed forces shelled several hideouts of terrorists in the countryside of Daraa, Idlib, and Homs, inflicting heavy losses.

Confrontation near Meneg airbase

In  northern Aleppo province, the armed forces confronted terrorist groups’ attack on Meneg airbase and bombarded several hideouts of terrorists in towns of al-Alqameyeh, Meneg and al-Zera’a in the airbase surroundings..

The confrontation occurred as other units of the armed forces were hunting down terrorists in the western countryside of Aleppo and fighting others in the city.

A rocket-launcher and a mortar were destroyed in the western Aleppo countryside.

Qualitative operation on Aleppo-Idlib highway

Moreover, a unit of armed forces eliminated a terrorist group near Zedo fuel station on Aleppo-Idlib highway in a qualitative operation which resulted also in destroying a big quantity of weapons, ammunitions, and booby-traps which were inside trucks driven by terrorists.

Car blast rocks Mazzeh 86 

In a separate incident, a terrorist car bomb explosion rocked today a residential area in Mazzeh 86 in the capital.

The explosion claimed the lives of three citizens including a three-year old child, wounded 7 and left an extensive damages at the scene.

Last November, terrorists exploded a car bomb in Arous al-Jabal square in the same area ( Mazzeh 86) causing  the demise of 11 citizens and  dozens wounded.
