Pruning Trees and Removing Weeds on Road Sides in Lattakia

The breeding and development teams in the Lattakia Agriculture Directorate (Forest Department) have finished removing weeds growing on the roadsides and pruning trees.

Work began during the holiday week, and was carried out according to three axes:

The first axis:  Qardaha highway .. Work on removing weeds growing on the sides of the roads, moving the accumulated remains, as well as pruning the extended branches, where more than half of the road has been completed, and the work is continuing.

The second axis:  Al-Husseini Street, has been working on cutting the weeds growing in the central island and the sidewalks. About 50% of the road has been completed within two days.

The third axis: Al-Shabatliya road, the cleaning of the Al-Shabatliya roads – RasShamra roundabout, and the removal of weeds growing on the sides of the road, started by using a wheel to cut the grass with /16/hacksaws.

The work is still going on until its  completion  and the aim of these works is to get rid of the weeds growing on the sides of the roads for aesthetic reasons, as well as the danger that these weeds may in the future become a focus of fires.
