Mansour calls on the UN Security Council to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people

New York (ST): The permanent representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, called on the Security Council to work to stop the continuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to halt all occupation Judaization practices aimed at changing the civilizational, historical and demographic nature of the city of Jerusalem.

Wafa news agency reported that Mansour stressed in three letters addressed to the UN Secretary-General, the President of the Security Council and the President of the General Assembly that the Security Council must assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and work to stop the continuous Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, which has so far resulted in the death of 35 Palestinians, including a woman and ten children  in addition to hundreds of wounded.

Mansour pointed out that in recent days the occupation escalated its attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and those stationed in it, which led to the injury of hundreds, in addition to its continuous establishment of settlements, especially in occupied Jerusalem, the seizure of lands, the demolition of homes, and the displacement of Palestinians from the city in violation of UN resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, which affirms the rejection of all Israeli measures aiming to change the nature and status of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, including Jerusalem.
