Dr. Shaaban: Syria, with its steadfastness and victory, has provided a model to the world that the will of the people is indomitable
On May 10th, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, the special advisor in the Presidency of the Republic, said that Syria, with its steadfastness and victory, presented a model to the world that the will of the people is indomitable.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban said that Syria stands united in the face of injustice and aggression as it breaks the West’s monopoly on one pole and contributes to the dawn of a new multi-polar world based on respect for legitimacy and sovereignty.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban delivered a lecture entitled (Syria and the regional and international situation) in the Aleppo branch of the National Union of Syrian Students.
During the lecture, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban said that Syria is influential by virtue of its distinguished geographical location, which formed an important anchor for the Silk Road between the West and the East, and a point of enlightenment in the Arab world.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban referred to the role that Syria played vis-à-vis the Armenians and Syriacs when the Ottomans committed horrific massacres against them in 1915 and towards our Palestinian people when the Zionist gangs deserted them in 1948, as well as the same with regard to the Lebanese in 1982 and 2006 and the Iraqis after the American invasion of their country.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban stressed that Syria was and still is a unique model for coexistence and stands against terrorism, occupation and hegemony.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban indicated that the targeting of Syria and its institutions in 2011 was the most prominent aim of striking the model of coexistence in it.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban referred to the leaked documents that prove beyond any doubt the role of Western countries and the Zionist entity in planning, financing and managing the terrorist war on Syria.
Dr. Buthaina Shaaban said that the economic war on Syria amounts to a war crime and a crime against humanity and represents the law of the jungle.
