Mufti Hassoun: Syria will continue to support the Palestinian cause and the resistance until the liberation of Jerusalem

Beirut (ST): His Eminence, the Grand Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Ahmed Badr Al-Din Hassoun, has affirmed that Syria will continue to support the Palestinian cause and the resistance until the liberation of Jerusalem and all the occupied territories.

In a speech via video conference during the International Federation of Resistance Scholars Conference within the framework of the activities of  International Jerusalem Day, Mufti Hassoun explained that 100 countries conspired against Syria to destroy it and make it surrender and go into  darkness, but it resisted and defeated terrorism and remained the true supporter of the resistance.

Mufti Hassoun stressed that Syria will remain with the resistance in the same trench, carry its flag, and stand with its men, even if it paid dearly for that.

For his part, the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Na’im Qassem, affirmed that Jerusalem can only be liberated through resistance, because the US, “Israel” and their allies are using all the capabilities available in the world to practice oppression, tyranny and aggression.

Qassem pointed out that the proclamation of the International Day of Jerusalem created a turning point in the Palestinian cause and in the region. He stressed that the Palestinian people, with their children, women, elders and youth, face injustice and aggression, and will continue their struggle until the liberation of their entire land.

For his part, the President of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, affirmed that Jerusalem is an issue of faith, history and future, and that it will remain close and become closer this year with the struggle, steadfastness and heroism of the Palestinian people that exceeded expectations.
