A landmine, left behind by ISIS in Hama eastern countryside, exploded on Tuesday, killing a shepherd and 20 of his sheep.
A source at Hama Police Command told SANA reporter that the shepherd was herding his sheep in Wadi Al-Azeeb area in the eastern countryside of Hama when a landmine, left behind by ISIS terrorists before their defeat in this area, exploded, causing the death of the shepherd and the sheep.
ISIS terrorists planted mines and explosive devices in Syrian desert areas and agricultural lands which were under ISIS control before its defeat, with the aim of hampering the progress of the Syrian Army in the battles to liberate these areas from terrorism. Most of these mines and explosive devices go off while citizens are working in their fields and pastures.
