Moscow (ST):  The director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies and Predictions in Russia, who specializes in American affairs, Veronika Krashinnikova, affirmed that holding the presidential elections in Syria is the culmination of efforts to combat terrorism, noting that the Syrian people alone determine the future of their country.

In an interview with the news correspondent in Moscow, Krashinnikova, the consultant for the media group at Russia Sevodnya Agency, stressed  that the Syrian people are the only authority that has the right to elect their representative as president of the country, indicating that other countries should stop interfering in this matter because this interference is a violation International law and it indicates a lack of respect for the decision and aspirations of Syrian people calling on those countries, especially Western countries, to stop these illegal and inhuman behaviors.

She expressed her wishes for success to the Syrian people and their leadership in the next stage of reconstruction and the return of safe life to all areas in Syria.
