Two Palestinians martyred, 88 injured and 275 detained in Israeli occupation attacks last month
Two Palestinians were martyred, 88 others were wounded and 275 were detained in several attacks by the Israeli occupation forces on Palestinian areas last April.
In its monthly report on the occupation’s violations against the Palestinian people, lands and sanctities, the Palestinian WAFA news agency said that a Palestinian was martyred in occupation fire in the village of Beir Nabala, to the northwest of Al-Quds. A Palestinian woman was also martyred when a settler’s car ran over her in the Al-Sammou’ town, south of Al-Kalil city.
According to the report, hundreds of Palestinians suffered from suffocation and 88 others were injured in attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers on the cities and towns of the West Bank. One of the injured was a child who lost his eye in a direct gunshot while he was in one of the shops in Al-Khalil city.
The report pointed out that the occupation forces detained 275 Palestinians, including two children and three women in the West Bank and the outskirts of the besieged Gaza Strip, noting that most of the arrests were carried out in occupied Al-Quds.
The report went on to say that last month, the occupation authorities seized 1243 dunums of Palestinian land to the east of Toulkarm city in addition to 13 dunums in Hazma town to the east of Al-Quds with the aim of expanding settlement building operations. The occupation authorities also seized three residential buildings and a piece of land in Silwan town to the south of Al-Aqsa Mosque and gave them to settlers who stormed the mosque 42 times last month.
According to the report, the Israeli occupation forces and settlers escalated their attacks on the Palestinians in Al-Quds since the beginning of the month of Ramadan. they closed the roads leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards and to the old city and launched daily attacks on worshippers when they get out of the mosque after Taraweeh prayers.
The report pointed out that the Israeli warplanes launched 13 raids on different areas in the besieged Gaza Strip and opened fire on fishermen in their boats in the sea and on Palestinian farmers in their agricultural lands.
