Monument Honoring Syria Martyrs Unveiled in Lattakia

LATTAKIA,(ST)_ In commemoration of sacrifices made by martyrs in defense of Syria against conspiracies, a group of volunteering youths unveiled a monument for ” the victorious Syrian soldier” and hoisted the Syrian flag in ” Zeraa Square roundabout in Lattakia

The statute of the monument soldier is two meter length   and was carved from  iron and cement mix and military uniform colors .

The participants in the event lit candles in recognition of memory of the Syrian  martyrs  and artistic shows were performed confirming  determination of Syria ‘s youths to  fight sedition projects  and stand firmly by the Syrian Arab army to confront terrorists .

 

In a speech, head of the Political Department and International Relations at the International Organization  for Arab expatriates Dr. Mohammed Dirar Jammu  stressed that the Syrian youth are a  role model  that should be followed in awareness, courage and sense of high responsibility  so as to continue such  national events that reflect love and belonging to the homeland .

He pointed to the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army, especially in al-Qusair, stressing that Syria will remain immune against  all attempts to undermine it.

Plastic  artist and sculptor Wael Ramadan Fedda  who volunteered to design and present  the “Syrian Arab soldier monument”   stressed that his work is  a gift  in honor  of the Syrian army sacrifices  and an emphasis  on the determination to continue  victories  and cleans  every inch of  our land from conspirators and terrorists mercenaries who targeted the Syrian Arab people national unity. 

A crowd of civil and youth activists   and members of displaced families in Lattakia  took part in the event.
