PA Speaker: The Assembly has received two new applications for the post of President of the Republic

Damascus (ST):  The Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammoudeh Sabbagh, has announced that the Assembly received two notification  letters from the Supreme Constitutional Court, nominating Sinan Ahmed Al-Qassab and Mohammad Yousef Ramadan, for the position of President of the Republic, bringing the number of applications submitted to 14.

The Speaker of the People’s Assembly announced the opening of nominations for the presidential elections, in implementation of the provisions of the constitution, as of last Monday, and applications will continue to be submitted to the Supreme Constitutional Court until the end of the official working hours on Wednesday April 28, 2021.
