JIF calls for an uprising for the protection of al-Aqsa mosque

The Jerusalem International Foundation (JIF) called for a third Palestinian Intifada (uprising) against the Israeli continued attacks and violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Yassin Hamoud, Director-General of the Foundation, said in a press conference in Beirut on Thursday that the current situation needs a popular uprising as a reaction against the Israeli ongoing violations and Judaization schemes in the holy city and to protect the al-Aqsa mosque from the Israeli ongoing plans to impose its control over it.

The Foundation released during the conference a report documenting Israeli violations and Judaization projects in Jerusalem since its occupation in 1967.

The Foundation called on the PA to stand firmly against the Israeli plans and to free the hand of Palestinian resistance in the West Bank in order to put an end to the Israeli escalation in the holy city.

The Foundation also called on the Arab League to take effective political, diplomatic and economic positions to pressure the occupation authorities to stop its Judaization plans.
