Syrian embassies open registration for Syrians wishing to participate in the upcoming presidential elections

On April 19th, Syrian embassies in several countries have opened registration doors for Syrians wishing to participate in the upcoming presidential elections, in accordance with the 2014 General Elections Law and its amendments.

The Syrian embassy in Abu Dhabi announced that in preparation for the upcoming presidential elections, the Syrian embassy in Abu Dhabi and the general consulate in Dubai are preparing the electoral lists for the Syrian citizens live UAE.

 

The Syrian embassies in Lebanon and Moscow published the registration form in the electoral lists calling on the Syrian citizens wishing to exercise their electoral right to register their names via e-mail or come in person to the embassy.

The Syrian embassy in Belarus called on Syrians wishing to participate in their constitutional right in the presidential elections to register their names with the embassy, noting that it had prepared electoral lists for the Syrian citizens covered by the embassy in the countries of Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

The Syrian embassies in a number of countries of the world have also called on Syrian citizens to register their names with them to participate in the presidential elections.

On April 18th, the Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, announced during an extraordinary session of the parliament that the door to candidacy for the presidential elections will be opened from April 19 till April 29th.
