President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday received congratulatory cables on Syria’s Evacuation Day from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, President of the United Arab Emirates Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania and King of Malaysia Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The leaders congratulated President Al-Assad and the Syrian people on the Evacuation Day and wished Syria more progress and success.
In his cable President Putin said that Russia will continue to support Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, stressing his country’s determination to continue exerting active efforts with the aim of attaining security and stability and starting reconstruction in Syria.
He affirmed that the continuous development of the Syrian-Russian relations serves the interests of the friendly peoples of the two countries.
President Lukashenko expressed his firm confidence that the Syrian people will soon overcome the consequences of foreign intervention in their country and will manage to make a major step in the process of rebuilding and developing their homeland. He stressed his country’s readiness to stand by Syria shoulder to shoulder to provide necessary assistance in the reconstruction process.
President Rouhani expressed hope that bilateral relations between Syria and Iran will be enhanced in all domains, stressing the importance of taking major and effective steps to attain peace and stability in the region and establish regional cooperation that reflects positively on the two countries.
On his part, the Malaysian King affirmed the friendly and distinguished relations between Syria and Malaysia since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1958, hoping that these relations will be boosted for the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
