Two civilians killed and 12 others injured in a mine explosion left behind by Daesh west of Palmyra

Palmyra (ST):  Two citizens were killed and others were wounded  after the explosion of a landmine left over from the terrorist organization ISIS .This happened while their truck was passing in Wadi Abyad dam, about 25 km northwest of Palmyra, while they were on their way to collect truffles.

The Director of the General Authority of Palmyra National Hospital, Dr. Walid Odeh, said in a statement  that the car, which was carrying 14 civilians from the Badia, blew up  while it was passing over a landmine planted by the terrorists before their withdrawal from the area, which led to the death of two citizens in their fourth decade of life and wounding 12 others, including children and women.

Odeh indicated that the wounded were transferred to Palmyra National Hospital and the necessary first aid was given to them, then they were transferred to Homs hospitals. 

A citizen was killed and another was wounded on the seventh of this month as a result of the explosion of a landmine left over from the terrorist organization ISIS while they were collecting truffles in the Al-Mask area on the Jabal Sha’ir road northwest of Palmyra, about 70 km.
