Syria and Russia: Western countries allocate funds to prevent the return of the Syrian refugees

On April 12th, the joint Syrian and Russian coordinating bodies for  the return of the Syrian refugees confirmed that Western countries allocate funds to prevent the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.

The two bodies added that the so-called (Brussels Conference) aims to destabilize the situation in Syria and the region.

The two bodies issued a statement saying that the decisions of the Brussels conference, which was held by Western countries without consulting the Syrian government, lead to destabilizing the situation in Syria and the region instead of rebuilding the facilities and infrastructure.

The statement pointed out that Western countries allocate financial resources to prevent the return of the displaced in the camps to their homeland and to keep them on the lands of the host countries where there is no decent life for these displaced persons.

The statement said that the Syrian government works with all available capabilities to create appropriate conditions for citizens and rebuild the buildings destroyed by terrorism.

The statement affirmed that the approach of Western countries in providing aid to Syria is a harmful way that leads to the revival of hotbeds of terrorism and the occurrence of an economic and social crisis, displacement and contradiction to all the goals of humanitarian work.

The statement said that the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrians by the United States and its allies prevent the displaced from returning to their homeland and contribute to supporting hotbeds of tension to justify the occupation of Syrian lands and the plunder of the natural wealth of the Syrians.

The statement called on the international community to end the politicization of humanitarian activity in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The statement called on solving economic problems and allocating sufficient financial resources to improve the humanitarian situation in Syria as soon as possible to increase in the frequency of the return of the Syrian refugees.
