 Syria Times asked Dr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh, Founder and Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Group, (the largest Arab group for international professional services in the fields of accounting, management consulting, technology transfer, training, education and intellectual property) “After the dialogue session with ministers and specialists in digital transformation, what do you think is the main obstacle to digital transformation in Syria?

 

 

 

Syria Times also met Dr. Khalil Al-Ajmi, President of the Virtual University, who told us about his participation in this conference.

“The participation of the virtual university in this conference is as the head of the scientific committee in the conference in addition to  being president of the virtual university, which was the first leading university in digital transformation and our experience in digital content.” He added “The virtual university will present the experience of digital learning at the Arab level and how it developed over twenty years’

Syria Times: Can Syria achieve successful digital transformation if efforts are not concerted between the Ministry of Higher Education and the rest of the ministries?

Ajami answered “the issue of digital transformation starts with the Ministry of education and Ministry of Higher Education. They should be at the first , then coordination between other ministries comes later. Decision makers must initiate and support the issue of digital transformation

Syria Times met Dr. Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Secretary General of the Arab Federation for E-Commerce from Egypt who spoke about the experience and participation of Egypt in the digital transformation.

 Dr. Abdel Fattah said ” digital economy is no longer a choice or a luxury and it has become an urgent need”

 “The Arab Federation for Electronic Commerce held three conferences, the first was  in the United Arab Emirates with the title of’ E-commerce without obstacles’ and the second in Egypt with the title ‘The electronic payment ‘

 We are able to make a quantum leap in this conference through the recommendations that we will focus on at the end of the conference.”
