Jordanian intellectuals call on the European Union to lift the coercive measures imposed on Syria

Amman (ST): A gathering of Jordanian media and intellectuals for Syria, the Resistance, has  called on the European Union to lift the unilateral coercive economic measures on Syria.

In a message sent  to the European Union mission in Amman, the gathering indicated that these measures contribute to depriving the Syrian people of food and treatment, pointing out that they come due to the steadfast Syrian position in support of the resistance and against the US imperialist hegemony project and Syria’s adherence to its patriotic and national principles.

The gathering indicated that these coercive measures are in the interest of the Zionist enemy and its colonial plans, calling for their lifting and stopping the subjugation to the US hegemonic policy, respecting the choices of the people and the Syrian state and the independence of its political will.
