Yemeni Embassy in Damascus holds event titled “National Day of Resilience of Yemen”

Under the title “National Day of Resilience”, the Yemeni Embassy in Damascus held on Wednesday a cultural event that included an exhibition of photographs and a documentary film on the crimes perpetrated by the Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people, at Al-Assad House for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

In his speech, the Yemeni Ambassador to Syria Abdullah Ali Sabri expressed his thanks to the countries and forces supporting the cause of Yemeni people, indicating at the same time that the Yemeni people will not give up their national principles of freedom and independence.

For his part, Head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad al-Hourani, stressed that despite the aggressive criminal war on Yemen, Yemeni people are still adhering to their national principles and noble values and  refusing to submit to aggressive policies,. He shed light on the role of Zionism in the attempts to destroy Yemen and its culture supporting the resistance.

 

In turn, the Secretary of the Palestinian Resistance Forces Coalition, Khaled Abdel-Majid, praised the steadfastness of Syria and Yemen in the face of various imperialist Zionist schemes in the region. He pointed to the close connection between the Palestine issue and what is happening in Yemen, Syria, and the forces and countries supporting resistance, stressing that their battle is one in the face of those schemes.

For his part, the First Counselor at the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Ali Reza Aiti, affirmed his country’s principled and steadfast position in supporting the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and its continued moral and material support to them in the face of foreign plans aimed at destabilizing the region by creating terrorist organizations such as “ISIS” and through attempts to fuel sedition. He underlined the need for the international community to make all efforts to stop the war, end the siege imposed on the Yemeni people, and find a political solution to the crisis in their country.
