The International Movement for Defence of Palestinian Children confirmed that the Israeli occupation continues its crimes against Palestinian children, including killing, arresting and displacement, in flagrant violation of international laws.
On the occasion of the Palestinian Child’s Day today, Wafa news agency quoted the movement as saying in a statement that the Israeli occupation continues its grave violations against Palestinian children, with 85 percent of the detained children being subjected to torture. It is noted that during the last year the occupation killed 9 children between the ages of 14 and 17 years, 7 of them in the West Bank and two in the besieged Gaza Strip, while a child was killed since the beginning of this year in Salfit.
In light of the spread of Coronavirus, the movement indicated that Palestinian children inside the occupation prisons live in poor health conditions and lack the resources and tools that enable them to maintain basic hygiene, including disinfection and sterilization materials that limit the spread of the virus.
The movement called on the international community to provide humanitarian and legal protection for Palestinian children and to hold the occupation officials accountable for their crimes.
