Lebanese Health Minister: Syria provided Lebanon’s hospitals with oxygen urged by a humanitarian motive
Lebanon’s Caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan on Monday stressed that Syria has provided Lebanon’s hospitals with Oxygen without any conditions starting from a humanitarian motive, thanking Syria, as people and leadership, for this gesture which helped in saving the lives of many Covid-19 patients.
In a statement to journalists on Monday, Hassan said that “Syria gave us the oxygen from its own health allocations despite the difficult conditions in the country and it gave us this gift without any restrictions or conditions. What happened was a humanitarian and ethical act par excellence.”
On March 24, President Bashar Al-Assad ordered that 75 tons of oxygen go to Lebanon over three days as medical aid amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country and after the Lebanese hospitals ran out of oxygen.
