Russia resumes flights with several countries, including Syria

Moscow (ST): The Agency for Combating the Transmission and Spread of the Coronavirus in Russia has announced the resumption of civilian air transport for passengers with a number of countries, including Syria, from the beginning of next April.

The authority said in  a statement, “In agreement with the Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, a decision has been taken to resume air transport from the beginning of next April, on a reciprocal basis with Syria, Germany, Venezuela, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka.”

The statement indicated that air transport with Syria would take place once a week between Moscow and Damascus.
