The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission calls for pressure on the occupation to release Palestinian prisoners and mothers

On March 20th, the Palestinian Prisoner Affairs Commission called on the international community to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to release Palestinian prisoners from its detention, especially mothers

In a statement on the occasion of Mother’s Day, the commission stated that there are 12 Palestinian captive mothers out of 39 who are languishing in the occupation prisons and suffering the cruelty and bitterness of deprivation of their children on the day that many peoples of the world celebrate this great occasion.

The Commission pointed out that the children of female prisoners miss their mothers not only on Mother’s Day, but every day of the year as the occupation authorities deny captive mothers from visiting their children, under various pretexts.

The Commission indicated that the occupation authorities have arrested more than 17 thousand Palestinian women from 1967 until today.
