The participants in the symposium of the French-Syrian Friendship Association: What Syria is exposed to in a terrorist war resembles a mini-world war
On March 17th, the participants in the symposium of the French-Syrian Friendship Association condemned the Western sanctions imposed on Syria.
The symposium was held through the application of Zoom and included about 120 political and intellectual personalities on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the terrorist war on Syria.
The participants said that the terrorist war it was subjected to resembles a mini-global war as a result of an international conflict, and that the Syrian state has withstood this terrorism.
They said that NATO played a very dangerous role in that war and that Syria is the victim of an organized Western military campaign, a systematic media campaign and an unjust economic blockade.
Director of the French Center for Research and Intelligence Eric Denisei,who has published dozens of articles and books on the war and society in Syria, said: “ We are witnessing in Syria a mini-world war, but rather longer than the two world wars, and that Syria is under attack from all its neighbors, but it has withstood.”
For her part, Head of the Geopragma Research Centerresearcher Caroline Galacteros said that what happened in Syria is an expression of Western anger over its failure to implement NATO’s policy in the region and its dangerous plans against China and Russia.
She added that Syria pays the price of the Eurasian strategy and that the future of the Syrian people does not matter to the West.
In his turn, Head of the French-Syrian Friendship TeamGerard Babbet pointed to the lack of fuel, electricity, food, baby milk and wheat that Syria is exposed to as a result of the blockade.
He added that the American occupation forces have been burning wheat fields on the Syrian northeast areas and preventing the Syrian people from their natural resources.
For his part, Head of the Tunisian Institute for International Relations Ahmed Mannaei said that since 2011 there have been thousands of militants in Homs and that the looting and sabotage operations carried out by them refutes the peacefulness of what they claim.
Mannaei revealed that armed terrorists went to Daraa before the start of the fighting there, and infiltrated into many areas, including the Al-Omari Mosque, and started problems from there.
