Anti-Wars platform denounces sanctions on Syria

MADRID,(ST)_The World Platform of Anti-Wars has denounced the coercive economic sanctions being imposed on the Syrian people, calling for respecting Syria’s sovereignty  and territorial integrity and supporting peaceful and political solution to the crisis in Syria.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the platform made it clear that after the failure of the US and Israel to achieve their goals through their attacks on Syria and using their terrorist tools, they imposed unjust sanctions and brutally punished the Syrian people.

“ These sanctions aim to hinder all efforts being exerted to improve living conditions of the Syrian people during the difficult time caused by the outbreak of Covid-19.,” the statement added.

It condemned the role of some hostile media outlets in covering the war on Syria, asserting that these outlets misled public opinion and wiped facts.
